A New Chapter at ÖZKA: Mehmet Yüksel Appointed as Chief Operating Officer

ÖZKA Tyres continues to strengthen its organisational structure in line with the needs of the future while advancing its manufacturing capabilities through next-generation technologies and investments. As part of this approach, Mehmet Yüksel, who brings more than 20 years of experience in the global tyre industry, has joined ÖZKA Tyres as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Mehmet Yüksel spent many years in senior positions within Goodyear’s Luxembourg-based global organisation, gaining extensive experience across manufacturing, engineering, operational excellence, business transformation, investment and sustainability in Türkiye, China, Malaysia and Europe.

During the last 10 years of his career, Yüksel held senior responsibilities at both EMEA and global level within Goodyear’s organisation. Most recently, he served as Global Director, Reliability Engineering, where he led global manufacturing reliability and operational excellence initiatives covering more than 50 manufacturing facilities across the Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific.

Between 2021 and 2025, Yüksel also served as Global Manufacturing Engineering Operation Director at Goodyear Luxembourg. Throughout his career, he took on significant responsibilities in large-scale technology, automation and capacity investments, including high-tech automation and business transformation projects in Germany, manufacturing and technology investments across EMEA, and a new manufacturing facility investment in China.

Strengthening Manufacturing and Operational Capabilities Through an Integrated Structure

In his role as COO, Mehmet Yüksel will be responsible for key functions at the core of ÖZKA’s manufacturing and operational structure, including Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Planning, Investments and Projects, Electrical Systems and Maintenance, Occupational Safety, and Quality Management Systems.

With this appointment, ÖZKA aims to further strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and operational performance by bringing manufacturing, technology, quality, R&D, investment and operational excellence together within a more integrated structure.

Building on its expertise in bias and radial tyre manufacturing, ÖZKA continues to advance its capabilities through next-generation manufacturing technologies and investments while closely following the transformation of the global tyre industry. With new investments being brought into operation and further developments underway, the company is preparing to take its production capabilities, technological infrastructure and operational strength to the next level, while advancing its organisational development in parallel.
